How to magnetize a magnet?

The current magnetizing methods are DC magnetizing and pulse current magnetizing: (1) The equipment used for DC magnetization is an electromagnet magnetizer. Its structure is shown in Figure 1. The coil is fed with DC power during operation, and the gap between the two iron cores can be adjusted by adjusting the nut.

The coil is fed with DC power during operation, and the gap between the two iron cores can be adjusted by adjusting the nut. Before magnetizing, clean the surface of the magnet with clean water, place the magnet in the gap between the core of the magnetizer, and apply a direct current to the excitation coil up to the maximum value, and cut off the current for 3 to 4 seconds. The magnet has been magnetized. Since the residual magnetic inductance is low after a single magnet is magnetized, and the residual magnetic inductance of the magnetizing combination is higher, the single magnet is generally magnetized first, and then stacked into a magnetic stack for magnetization. The magnetizing field strength should be 5-7 times the coercivity of the magnet.
(2) Pulse current magnetization. The equipment used is a pulse current magnetizing device, which is mainly composed of a pulse device and a magnetizing coil. Its magnetization field strength is very high, and it can directly magnetize the magnetization coil. When working, a powerful pulse current passes through the magnetization coil to generate an instantaneous strong magnetic field to magnetize the magnetization coil. The DC electromagnet has low magnetizing capacity, but has simple structure and low equipment cost. It is suitable for small and medium magnetic separation plants. The pulse current magnetizing device has a large magnetizing capacity, the device itself is more complicated, and the cost is high. It is suitable for large-scale magnetic separation plants and magnetic separation equipment manufacturers.
